Olamide & Asake Receive First-Time Grammy Nominations!

Olamide and Asake, two Nigerian musicians, have been nominated for their first Grammy Awards in the Best African Music Performance category for their joint project "Amapiano." Neither of them has ever received a Grammy Award nomination before.

For Olamide, the original, and Asake, the Ololade Mi, it's a momentous time. They are becoming well-known and establishing themselves on the international scene.

With "Amapiano" topping the charts and turning into a beloved anthem in Nigeria and other African nations, Olamide and Asake's partnership proved to be a success.

For Asake, 2023 has been an amazing year. He won the Male MVP title at the Soundcity MVP Awards in February, which held in Lagos at the Eko Convention Center. That was only the start. He won the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in May, taking home the Best African Artist of the Year honor. Talk about crossing the border with a bang. Asake didn't end there. He proved he is the next in line for greatness by winning the coveted 2023 Headies Next Rated title. His album "Mr. Money With The Vibez," which peaked at number one on the charts, also won him the Album of the Year award.

Olamide and Asake deserve congratulations on their momentous nominations!
